Cory fisher of the Cleveland clinic, a family medicine specialist, states that there’s no cure for a chest cold. It will run its course and then vanish. The CDC adds that a nose, throat, or chest cold can’t be cured by antibiotics even if they’re caused by bacteria.
As per Dr. Fisher’s advice, in case of acute bronchitis, you should always listen to your body. If it’s a chest cold, you shouldn’t engage in an intense workout. Let your body rest for an elevated period. It would also help if you took extreme care when you go to your office or meet people because you might pass on your illness to others.
Preventive measures that you can take
As we step into the cold and flu season, Dr. Elliot advises keeping your mind alert on the do’s and don’ts to prevent acute bronchitis. You should wash our hands more often and get proper sleep. A body that gets enough sleep develops a robust immune system. Moreover, ensure that you maintain a safe distance from sick people and wear a mask always.
