50 Airport Photos That Will Make You Not Want To Board An Airplane Anytime Soon Due To All The Madness

This K-9 Wildlife Control Officer Is Cooler Than Any Of Us Combined

You’d think that the biggest challenge airport staff has to go through is keeping the humans in check, but that wasn’t the case at Michigan’s Cherry Capital Airport. Their workflow was often interrupted by wildlife, which forced them to take precautions.

Instead of hiring a group of humans to chase away wild animals, they hired a K-9 wildlife control officer named Piper to do the task for them. Sadly, according to the Washington Post, the border collie officer scared off his 8,367th and last bird in January 2018, after serving for three years. You’ll always be remembered, Piper!

Runway Rush Hour

Upon first glance, your heart may skip a beat, wondering how an airport can have so much traffic at any given time. Well, luckily for us (and the air traffic controllers), this is an edited photo captured by Mike Kelley, who named it “Wake Turbulence.”

One fine day, over the span of eight hours, he captured the arrival and departure of airplanes at the Los Angeles International Airport. He then proceeded to edit and combine the snaps, giving the illusion of a busy runway. Did you know that this photo is available for purchase with a price ranging from $750 to $1.9K?

Crossing Borders To Find Safe Haven

Humboldt penguins are a species of South American penguins found in Chile and Peru. However, they have been categorized as an endangered species after their population began to drop following human encroachment, rat infestations, and weather conditions, as per Phys.Org.

In this photo, you can see them checking-in at an airport after being saved by animal conservationists. These two penguin buddies were headed to an island off the coast of Port Elizabeth in South Africa. As troublesome as it may be, kudos to this airline for transporting these little creatures to their safe haven.

Bear With Me

It’s not every day you get to tell your friends that you saw animals while boarding an aircraft. When that’s the case, how cool would it be to update them about a polar bear that visited the runway? Of course, polar bears live in cold habitats, which is why the fact that this photo was captured at an Alaskan airport is believable.

While it may have been a lucky day for travelers to see a live polar bear, we hope it wasn’t hurt in the retrieval process. After all, they are an endangered species that need to be protected at all costs.

An Unfortunate Day For Jasmine

It’s always best to have a password with any digital device because you never know when you might forget it somewhere. Of course, you never want someone else to have access to personal information. Jasmine left her phone at Newcastle International Airport, and unfortunately for her, not only did she not have a password, but she also left her Facebook account logged in.

It’s a good thing the finders were two humorous men working at the airport and not creeps who might misuse her personal information. These two men took a funny selfie and posted it on her Facebook, warning her to never leave her account logged in again.
