Captain Kitten At Your Service

There is a long history behind the practice of giving boats meaningful names. Ancient ships were given divine names to ward off misfortune at sea. The tradition of giving your boat a name is steeped in myth and superstition, but in modern times it’s also a chance to show off your humor. After all, boating is supposed to be fun.

While we get that the Captain Jack part is about the classic movie “Pirates of the Caribbean,” the image of a cat with fish bones seems a little strange. Maybe captain Jack here is the cat that belongs to the owner.

Dogs Likes To Sail Too

What could be more relaxing than spending a sunny day sailing? Of course, traveling with one’s favorite furry friend can be loads of fun. Here, this man’s best friend and its owner are taking advantage of the fresh breeze, the sound of the waves, and the tranquility of the ocean.

In most countries, having a dog aboard a sailboat is permitted, and while many might be hesitant, it’s not a bad idea. Sailboats can be suitable homes for dogs if they are sufficiently spacious and their owners diligently keep the boat clean and sanitary. The good thing also is a dog keeps its owner company.

An Epic Sailing Picture

Sloops are specialized forms of boat used by merchantmen and one of the most prevalent types of a pirate ships. They could move swiftly and deftly while carrying a crew from one man to one hundred and twenty. A regatta is a sporting event where sloops are utilized. It’s hard to imagine that the person caught in this hook is a pro player, but accidents like this occur. His teammates are all attempting to help, but one is being particularly mischievous by snapping a photo of the whole thing.

Experience, They Say, Is The Best Teacher

Many people agree that jet skis are loads of fun and simple to pilot. It does not mean that they are risk-free; having a good time on a jet ski without being hurt is possible, but only if you have the proper training and expertise under your belt.

Unlike boats, which have a minimum age requirement of 12, minors under the age of 16 should not operate a jet ski. Judging by this photo, this guy is beyond the age of 16, but he’s less skilled as a rider than he may have assumed. We can only hope that his wounds are minor and that he takes something positive away from this.

Straight Out of a Movie Scene

This photo seems like the type of scene that happens in superhero movies of all time; that moment in history when the heroes defeated the bad guys and saved the city. Even though it’s a total loss, at least the building has been saved! But the opposite is true here.

On a more somber note, this image was taken in 2019 near the site of a boat crash on Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks. A 66-year-old man was seriously hurt in the mishap, and the cause of the incident was never determined. Unlike when the boat was in the water, it couldn’t sail smoothly on dry land.
