Golden Age Stars Who Are Still Alive & Kicking Hard

Kim Novak – 88 , $15 Million

Kim Novak has been on our screens since the ‘50s, and she boasts of starring alongside several prominent leading men like Frank Sinatra.  She withdrew from the industry in her mid-30s but sporadically made comebacks after 1966.

Novak turned her efforts into photography and she’s also a poet as well as a visual artist. Novak revealed during a Q&A session at the Turner Classic Movies Film Festival in 2012 that she largely left the industry because she was bipolar. She explained that the disorder would lead her to fits of mania and depression but she received medical help.

Vera Miles – 91 , $8 Million

Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho is still one of the best films released in the ‘60s, and Vera Miles is one of the actresses who made the classic epic. She racked up credits in the years that followed in films like The Searchers and Follow Me, Boys!

Miles has four children, two from her first marriage, one from her second, and one from her third. Coincidentally, her three ex-husbands died in close succession with her third husband passing away in 2006 and her second and first in 2007. Miles now leads a private life in California and doesn’t make public appearances.

Bob Newhart, 91 – $65 Million

Comedy lovers would surely remember the witty and hilarious Bob Newhart. He famously wrote a comedy album titled The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart. The album topped a Billboard chart and remained the 20th-best selling comedy album of all time. If the album rings no bells, perhaps his role as Professor Proton in Big Bang Theory will.

In a rather accomplished career, Newman has won three Grammys, one Primetime Emmy, and one Golden Globe Award. Shortly before The Big Band Theory ended, he joined the spin-off series Young Sheldon to continue his role as Professor Proton until 2020. It’s impressive that the 91-year-old isn’t in retirement yet.

Jane Fonda – 83 , $200 Million

Jane Fonda built her brand as a fitness guru and her popular videos from back in the ‘80s are still available online. She switched from modeling to acting and received accolades like seven Golden Globes. The ‘60s gave her a breakthrough with credits in films like Periods of Adjustment and Barbarella.

Fonda hasn’t slowed down in recent years and she co-stars with Lily Tomlin in the Netflix series Grace and Frankie. Fonda has walked down the aisle thrice and after her relationship with Richard Perry ended in 2017 she hasn’t been linked to anyone else.

George Hamilton most notably starred in films like By Love PossessedThe Godfather Part III, and The Congressman. Hamilton also appeared in the KFC commercial as Colonel Sanders in 2016. He continues acting and in 2017 he appeared in General Hospital.

Hamilton also dabbled behind the scenes as a producer, and he produced and starred in the 1971 film Evel Knievel. Hamilton launched a line of skin care products in the late ‘80s and he also ventured into the tanning business. He has two sons from his marriage to Alana Stewart and with Kimberly Blackford, his ex-girlfriend.
