See What This Dad Did After His Daughter Was Sent To The Principal’s Offices For Wearing Something That Was Distracting Boys

When we send our children to school, we expect them to behave and also to be safe. Unless parents are aware that their child is a problem-maker, they don’t expect to hear anything school-related until later in the evening, perhaps at the dinner table.

That is why when Tony Alarcon saw that his daughter’s school was trying to contact him, he started fearing the worst. Although his fears were unfounded, he still got upset since he was being advised to pick his daughter up. What ensued was a fiery exchange and a dramatic turn of events. Read on for more.

Just Another Hot Summer Day

During the summer, temperatures naturally soar. This is usually when people don their swimming trunks or bikinis and head to the beach. But when it’s school time, all thoughts of bikinis and beaches can be swept under the carpet. But surely students would at least be allowed to dress comfortably.

This was the same thing Tony Alarcon thought when he dropped his daughter, Demetra, at school one day. The temperature had already reached the 90-degree mark when they left home, and Demetra was dressed comfortably. Tony saw nothing wrong with her outfit and dropped her at school like any other day.

No Definitive Dress Code

As we see on TV, most American schools don’t have a set dress code. Kids need to be appropriate with their attire, of course, but there are no set uniforms like there are at schools in other parts of the world, such as England. Things were no different at  Raymond J. Fisher Middle School.

This is where Demetra went to school in Los Gatos, California. The school offers several extracurricular activities requiring uniforms, including various sports and band practice, among other things. But there was no strict dress code really. Learners just needed to ensure that they were appropriately clothed.

A Dad Who Knows His Way Around A Fight

Being a real estate agent and a pretty well-known investment banker, Tony Alarcon was pretty good at speaking to people. He wasn’t afraid of a bit of conflict and never backed down from an argument. So when he got the call from the school, he was ready to go into battle mode.

He was also very protective of Demetra and prepared to fight and argue with whoever was causing trouble for her. The real question he should be asking is, was it her he needed to be having a stern talking to. He would find out when he got to the school.

Being Put On The Spot

Before her father was called in by the school, Demetra was singled out by her teacher. This was in front of the entire class and, although it was not uncommon for her teacher to do this, she was still a little trepidatious about this situation. But why was she nervous?

Of course, when an authority figure singles you out, it can cause jitters. Demetra was also not the kind of girl that a teacher often singled out. Hence she was pretty fearful about what was about to be said to her. She actually couldn’t believe what was about to go down.

Her Clothing Was The Problem

With morning temperatures already reaching 90 degrees, Demetra opted to wear something light, breathable, and comfortable to counter the heat. So she opted for a blue romper, which ticks all of the boxes a weather-specific outfit calls for. Plus, her dad didn’t see anything wrong with her outfit when he dropped her off.

A romper is a light, all-in-one outfit that is made with one material. It’s a combination of a blouse and shorts—bloomer-like shorts—and is made for children. There are also adult versions, and even female sports stars are known to wear more activewear-specific types of rompers for sports.
