Jay Leno & Mavis Leno – Together For 40 Years
Jay Leno is well-known for his love affair with automobiles, but he’s equally as committed to 40-year-long marriage to his better-half Mavis. The two met at The Comedy Store in 1976 where Leno had staged a performance. They held a small wedding ceremony attended by a few friends in 1980.
Leno told The Wall Street Journal that he advises anyone who asks what’s the secret to a good marriage that you should marry the person you always aspired to be. Leno also added that one of the key lessons he’s learned in his relationship is realizing that the fights are never really worth it.
