When The Diner Refused To Serve Him, He Shows Up In Uniform The Next Day
Blissful Ignorance
Baker could not understand why she refused to serve him. He did not stand in line for 45 minutes to receive this treatment, and he certainly wasn’t accustomed to people disobeying his commands like this or looking down on him – this was unacceptable!
He realized that the person in front of him was unaware of his position and his work. She didn’t know how helpful he was every day to people like her, so this situation was a bit unusual for him. However, Baker was curious to see her reaction when she discovered who he was.
Off for the Day
Karl Baker, from Alexandria, VA, was enjoying a well-deserved day off. He was more than ready to relax after working a string of 12-hour shifts. After his short break, he will surely be refreshed and less stressed than before.

His day was planned out in advance. Baker wanted to sleep in first, and after that, he wanted to eat out at a nice place, enjoy the outdoors and the fresh air, then end the day watching TV while sipping on a drink. The plan sounded good, but it did not turn out the way he had hoped.
On The List: Sleeping in
The sun was shining in Baker’s eyes as his dog leapt on his bed, and it was already midday. A good night’s sleep had left the man relaxed, but he was ready to face the day ahead like he had planned out. After dressing up in casual clothes, he poured himself a cup of coffee and wondered where he could find a good brunch.

As soon as he made up his mind, Baker hopped in his car and drove to the diner outside of town that he had never been to before. The way his day turned out after arriving at the place, Baker regretted going there in the first place.
Taking Your Place
Just like any other diner, Baker walked into this one thinking nothing of it, but what he encountered was shocking. He was regarded with complete contempt. Baker hadn’t experienced such blatant disrespect in a long time. Usually, his line of work keeps him from being treated like this, but the people here had no idea of his social standing.

As soon as Baker entered the place, he had to stand in the line and wait for his turn. His appetite was growing as he studied the menu on the wall. Minutes passed and Baker’s hunger intensified.
What’s for Brunch?
It had taken him a long time to narrow down his pick to two dishes. Although Baker was a great person in many ways, he was very picky about what he ate. So choosing two items out of so many had to take some time.

Considering his pickiness, he had high hopes that his research would pay off when he chose a restaurant. Standing in line for 45 minutes, he had no doubt this place would be worth the wait. However, Baker had to admit that he was wrong as soon as the unexpected happened!
